We are delighted to announce Hon. Dame Lowell Goddard will be giving this year’s Ebsworth Lecture.
Entitled, Public Inquiries and the Protection of Rights, Dame Lowell will explore the role of public inquiries in maintaining accountability, investigating wrongs, and protecting fundamental human rights. She will also address the challenges facing public inquiries as they pursue these tasks, including the ways in which they too must strike a balance between the various rights at stake.
The lecture will take place on the evening of Thursday 30 June, in Middle Temple Hall. Drinks will be served from 6 – 6.30 pm before the lecture starts.
