Scholarships

The South Eastern Circuit is delighted to offer a number of Scholarships Programmes to Eligible Members' which we hope will assist with your Career at the Bar, they include:

The International Advanced Advocacy Course held in Oxford each August

The Inns of Court offer funding for up to five of their members practising as Barristers in publically funded work towards the cost of attending the Advanced Advocacy Course.  This Scholarship includes, Course Fees, Room and Board for the four day course. 

The Advanced Advocacy Course (Civil) held in Florida each May

Four Scholarships are available for junior members of the South Eastern Circuit of up to seven years’ Call. Applicants must be paid up members of the Circuit (application for membership of the Circuit may be made at the same time). They should also practice in or predominantly practice in civil law.  

The Advanced Advocacy Course (Crime) held in Florida each July

Four Scholarships are available for junior members of the South Eastern Circuit of up to seven years’ Call. Applicants must be paid up members of the Circuit (application for membership of the Circuit may be made at the same time). They should also practice in or predominantly practice in criminal law.  

The Kalisher Trust

The Kalisher Trust transforms the lives of young people by encouraging and inspiring young people of ability, commitment and ambition to achieve their potential through the development of advocacy skills and participation in other programmes and thus develop a career at the criminal bar. Read more
