INVITATION TO KENTBARRISTERS
The Justice Service for Kent, Sunday 7thOctober 2018

I am delighted to invite you to come and join me at the traditional Annual Justice Service for Kent to be held at Rochester Cathedral on Sunday 7thOctober. All those attending will need to be seated by 2.45pm and the service will last for approximately one hour.
For security reasons everyone attending the service must present a ticket on arrival and these can be obtained from Flora Fairbank by email at: firstname.lastname@example.org Please apply by Friday 7th September.
Spouses and Partners are welcome – please request additional tickets giving the full name of your guest.
All practising Judges, Recorders, Barristers & Solicitors are invited to join the procession. Please indicate when applying for tickets if you wish to process.

For those processing: Ceremonial dress, uniforms, robes and chains and gowns are appropriate. (Please see following page for details).
For those not processing: Lounge suits or smart casual.
Ladies: Hats are optional.
The service will be followed by Tea in The Corn Exchange, Northgate and everyone attending the service is invited.
Tickets will be sent by email during the week commencing Monday 24th September – all tickets must be printed off and shown on entry into the Cathedral.

Directions and Parking:
Entry to Cathedral is via the West Door
Disabled Access only is via the North Door
There are several car parks near to the Cathedral – please see above map for locations. Disabled parking is available in the Kings Head car park.
Chauffeurscan drop their passengers immediately outside the Cathedral.
Travel by Train:
The nearest station is Rochester Station which is approximately 10 minutes walk from the Cathedral. Its location is shown on the above map. Trains run from St Pancras, Victoria and Charing Cross stations in London to Rochester but you are advised to check timetables and “works on the line” as the event is being held on a Sunday.
For Those Processing:
Those processing in the Judicial Processionshould please assemble in the Ithamar Chapel located within the Crypt at the Cathedral by 2.25pm when Robert Coombe, the Under Sheriff, will brief those present and organise you all in the correct order. Changing facilities are available in the chapel. Belongings may be left in the chapel during the service but should be collected before tea.
Directions to Tea
Exit Cathedral by the West Door, turn right and cross over the High Street into Northgate. The entrance to the Corn Exchange is on your left.
