In this 60 Minute Q&A on false memory, Dr Shaw will cover a wide range of examples, including:

A basic explanation of how autobiographical memory works, including two case examples Dr Shaw has recently undertaken.
A civil case (a negotiation gone wrong)
A  non-recent criminal case (involving normally good therapy gone wrong)
A recent criminal case (involving hypnosis)
A recent police case (perjury / police misconduct)

Examples, including three general red flags that Dr Shaw examines as an expert that indicates something could be a false memory. 
 
Biography:
Dr Julia Shaw is a psychological scientist at University College London, the author of multiple best-selling books, and a BBC science communicator. She is best known for her work in the areas of false memory, bisexuality, and criminal psychology.
 
In 2019 Dr Shaw published the international bestseller Evil: The science behind humanity's dark side. Based on this, in 2020 she launched the award-winning BBC podcast Bad People co-hosted by comedian Sofie Hagen. In 2022 she released the AudioNow podcast “Böse” with Jazzy Gudd. She is currently working on her fourth non-fiction book.
